At our recent CV & LinkedIn workshop, HR managers reviewed real student CVs live on stage. Here is what they told us.

Keep it to one page

A recruiter spends less than a minute on a first read. Put your degree, internship and two or three strong achievements at the top.

Show results, not duties

  • Instead of “Handled social media”, write “Grew the club's Instagram followers from 300 to 1,200 in six months”.
  • Mention numbers wherever you can: marks, targets, people, money.
  • Add your BBA project or BBS research topic; it shows you can finish real work.

The best fresh-graduate CVs tell me what the student actually did, not what their job title was.
